“ So I finally made it here to try it. I’ve been to their competitor but today we decided to buy from both to do a comparison and I have to say this place won. I was surprised as most reviews I’ve read favoured HKS. Now I only got the bbq pork so I can’t say for the others. I did find the soup given here was much better. Not just broth. Win here Now the amount of meat is more from HKS and it is still very good bbq pork. So HKS wins. The bbq pork on rice is the same price 9 My photo was after I ate a couple of pieces so it may not look as full as it should be btw But If you buy per lb. It’s 12 here and 11 at HKS.. The meat was more tender here Extra wins. It’s a toss up really. I don’t think you can go wrong with either. Test it yourself. Honestly they are both amazing I am curious about other places so stay tuned March 2025 So I returned and the line up was shorter. Now 2 things originally I thought the quality of the meat was more tender for the bbq pork here but the quantity was a bit less but I was mistaken!!! To my surprise the container was very full and with 2 pieces of broccoli. Veggies do matter!!! I decided to try their roast pork too. Very crispy skin. I was surprised since I got it take out and thought it wouldn’t be crispy when I got home but it was. I think this place as edged out KHS this time. ”
“ I've yet to have a better BBQ pork from elsewhere. Lots of burnt ends for flavor and not dry. The roasted pork is seasoned well and has a crunchy rather than crispy. The duck was my least favorite of the three - too fatty and under seasoned. 3 meat meal is only 10tax, amazing value. Expect to wait 10-15 minutes in line as this place is popular. Highly recommend. ”
“ Excellent tasting bbq Chinese food, great friendly service (communication was in Cantonese) and tremendous value at such low price for the quantity of food. There were one or two pieces of meat that were discarded as too fatty but 11 or so for 3 types of meat, rice, soup and ginger oil was amazing value. ”
“ Amazing roasted pork! The skin on the roast pork is crunchy like chips. The kids love the BBQ pork rice as well. Great price for the meal. The line ups can be long on Sunday. But totally worth the long wait. They will charge you extra, if you ask for additional plates and utensils because the prices are so cheap. It's in a food court. So it can get really packed with people. So tables can be hard to find during busy mealtimes. ”

The salted egg, pork sausage, roasted duck and soya chicken were very tasty. Pair that with the ginger sauce, which I requested extra of, and you got yourself an affordable feast. They also give a soup in the side, which was good as well. ”
“ The Extra BBQ House is one of two super popular food court meal shops in the mall. The price was very reasonable and economic. The portions were large and definitely made me feel full with leftovers. There are usually long lines especially on weekends, but weekdays as well so be prepared to wait! ”
